Home-Grown Organic Produce

We grow many of our own organic vegetables at our farm. For example each year we grow potatoes, cauliflowers, cabbages, broccoli, spinach, courgettes, cucumbers, beans, celery, lettuces, leeks and onions. These are available freshly picked throughout the season in our farmshop (for directions to the farmshop click here) or via our delivery service. We also grow grass, silage and wheat for animal feed.

We have 55 acres under a 6 year rotation scheme to manage soil fertility and to control weeds and pests naturally without the use of herbicides or pesticides. Our typical rotation is 3 years grass, 2 years vegetables and 1 year arable silage. We also have 5 polytunnels where we grow delicate crops such as salads and vegetables to provide an extended season of homegrown availability.

10% of our farm is woodland, ponds, and wildlife habitats which contributes to our environment.

We use our own farmyard manure supplemented by green manures, so there is no use of artificial fertiliser.
