Spring flowers and Mothering Sunday

Half-term is now over and the traffic has increased on the roads!
There are some wonderful local displays of snowdrops and crocuses (or croci!) and daffodils are starting to open. It is a lovely time of year when these spring flowers start to appear.
I hear that in London the daffodils have been out for a while and magnolia trees are starting to flower.
In the shop this week we have organic fresh and smoked salmon, beef mince, braising steak and bacon.
Sorry we didn't have salmon last week but the small plane carrying fish from the Orkneys to the mainland broke down. I am assured that it has been repaired!
We should also have salmon next week for Mothering Sunday.
For a full list of what's in the shop this week see our organic fruit and vegetable price guide.
Have a good week.

PS if you or a friend can't come to the shop you can take a virtual tour! You can then email in an order and we will endeavour to deliver it - see our delivery page for details.

Shrove Tuesday & Valentine's Day

I can't believe that it's over a week ago that I closed the shop early and caught the train down to London for a mini weekend with my daughter.
We've now got a busy period ahead. Today is Shrove Tuesday and here is a link to some sweet and savoury pancake recipes. There is another link here to some healthy, gluten-free and vegan pancake recipes.
Sunday is Valentine's Day and we have a range of fresh organic meat, chicken and salmon with which to cook a special meal. We have Artisan Grains Nut Roast as a vegetarian/vegan option.
For a full list of what's in the shop this week see our organic fruit and vegetable price guide.
Have a good week.
