Virtual tour of the shop!

I can't believe it's a fortnight since I wrote the last blog. Where does time go? The children have broken up from school and so the roads are busy with holiday makers. The weather always seems to break when the schools break up. I know our gardens need the rain but it feels more like autumn!
We have some lovely fruits and local vegetables in the shop: local beetroot, salad, savoy & primo cabbages and local summer berries.
We are very excited because we've now got a virtual tour of the shop. If you haven't been in recently then you can see the range of products we stock.
It will also be searchable within google maps. Do let us know what you think!
For a full list of what's in the shop this week see our organic fruit and vegetable price guide.
We will also have fresh organic North Yorkshire lamb.
Have a good week!

Patytpan squashes and Confusions!

Well what a fortnight of sport! Wimbledon is over and the television and radio are now quiet. For the cricket fans amongst you we've won the first of the Ashes test matches!
On a more local and cultural note, I went to see Confusions at the Stephen Joseph Theatre and it was very good.
Alan Ayckbourn is directing his first revival of the play to mark the theatre's 60th anniversary. I would highly recommend it!
We're now having mixed weather, some rain and sun but we do need the rain.
Putting the price guide together this week we have a lot of local organic vegetables and fruit:
local lettuce, spinach and kale and punnets of local berries.
We also have some Pattypan squash which are fun. Here are some ideas of how to cook them.
For a full list of what's in the shop this week see our organic fruit and vegetable price guide.
We will also have organic fresh and smoked salmon.
Have a good week!
