Scarecrows and lovely local organic produce

Another short blog because I've had more visitors! My daughter Marta came up from London for the bank holiday weekend and my son Tomas arrived back from Mallorca after playing at various gigs with my niece Karla.
I think he is glad to get back to a cooler climate! The three of us had a lovely weekend - one of our trips was to the scarecrow festival in Thornton-le-dale. It was great fun and there were some wonderful entries! Here are some of the entries for this year and last year.
We have an abundance of local organic produce in the shop this week - beetroot, red cabbage, carrots, courgettes, leeks and savoy cabbages. We are also seeing the arrival of UK fruits - victoria plums, george cave and discovery apples and blueberries! May be our local growers had their own scarecrows during the growing season!
For full details of what's in the shop see our latest organic fruit and vegetable price guide.
We will also have organic fresh and smoked salmon.
Have a good week!

Music and smoothies!

A short blog this week because I've had visitors. My niece Karla is over from Canada and came up North to visit her relatives. She is a saxophone player and has a number of gigs in London before flying over to Mallorca where she and my son Tomas have some gigs. She's a great one for keeping fit and healthy and made me some lovely green smoothies with ingredients from the shop - picture on our Facebook page. She just blended together Pineapple, Banana, Melon, Kale and Spinach.
For full details of what's in the shop next week see our latest organic fruit and vegetable price guide.
Have a good week!
