dairy & gluten free Advent calendars etc

We have lots of news this week. In the shop we are starting to see a wide range of local winter vegetables - red russian kale, cauliflowers and that fascinating romanesco brocolli/ cauliflower. We are also expecting a delivery of gluten free bread and organic fresh and smoked salmon.
This Sunday (last before Advent) is 'stir up Sunday', the day on which Christmas puddings were always made. So it's not too late to make yours with organic ingredients from the shop or if you're too busy you can order a locally made one from us. For Xmas we have a dairy and gluten free Advent calendar and we are taking orders for hampers and baskets - see our Facebook page for photos. If you haven't put in your order for Xmas poultry etc please contact us.
Have a good week!

Bonfire Night and beyond

The sun is shining at the moment - a real change from all this wet dreary weather! To cheer us up we have Bonfire Night (the rain looks as if it will hold off) and a traditional northern cake for the night is Parkin - it's not too late to make it and we have all the ingredients in the shop. Parkin is very moorish!
It's also time to make your Christmas cake (my sister is making hers today) but if you don't have time you can order a locally baked one and it will be made with organic ingredients from the shop. In the shop this week we have fresh organic North Yorkshire lamb and organic fresh and smoked salmon and our latest fruit and vegetable price guide 5-18 November 2012 is on our webpages.
Have a good week!
